Raphael Borges Rodrigues on Rangers transfer watchlist as winger earns EFL Championship interest

Raphael Borges Rodrigues has emerged as a potential transfer option for Rangers this summer.

The Dutch-Australian, 20, has excelled with Macarthur this season with 32 appearances in all competitions in the A League and AFC Cup. He's scored six goals and provided two assists in that time. That has triggered several European clubs to take an interest and Championship side Coventry contacting the player's representatives in a bid to make their interest known ahead of the summer window.

Football Scotland understands the Gers have also discussed Rodrigues as a possible option as he would represent a good option for now as well as the future and would be a prime candidate for the expected transfer policy of buying young and cheap and selling on down the line for profit.

Watford are also believed to have spoken about the wide man who would be interested in a move to European football in an effort to further his career.

Ibrox boss Philippe Clement has made it clear Gers are now looking to adopt their transfer approach of selling on their star players and have already signed the likes of Mohamed Diomande to reflect that ideology.
