Ratings: Prime’s Thursday Night Football Surges to New All-Time High With Packers/Lions
Prime Video’s presentation of the Detroit Lions’ 34-31 win over the Green Bay Packers on Dec. 5 averaged 17.29 million total viewers, besting Thursday Night Football on Prime’s previous all-time high by more than a million viewers.
The previous high for TNF on Prime had been 16.2 million viewers, set by Cowboys/Giants on Sept. 26 of this year. Now ranking No. 3 on the all-time chart is Seahawks/Cowboys circa Nov. 30, 2023, which drew 15.3 mil.

Packers/Lions improved on the audience for the comparable game from last season by 61%, marking the largest year-over-year increase in franchise history. The game also delivered an all-time high peak audience, of 18.87 million viewers (from 9:15 to 9:30 pm ET).
Through 12 games, this season of TNF on Prime is averaging 13.61 million viewers, up 9% from its year-ago pace and up 15% above last year’s full-season average.
Packers/Lions also stands as the most-watched TNF Week 14 game — on any network — since 2019, and the third most-watched TNF Week 14 game in the package’s 18-year history.
