Reading boss on returning Wolves loanee and 'sacrifices' made
Reading boss Noel Hunt cannot wait to get loanee Chem Campbell back on the pitch after confirming his return until the end of the season.
Scoring five goals in the first-half of the season, the 21-year-old was only under contract until January but the club confirmed on Friday that the former Wales youngster will remain in Berkshire until May.
Currently out injured, with wide-man is back in the West Midlands receiving treatment from his parent club.
Speaking after Saturday's FA Cup exit to Burnley, Hunt said: "We got Chem [Campbell] re-signed and we’re really pleased with that. I keep saying that he is an unbelievable guy and a good kid. We wanted him and he will run through a brick wall, like they all do. He sacrificed a lot to be here and that shows his character, so we’re really pleased.
"We want to get him back as soon as we can, he’s had a niggle with his ankle but hopefully it clears up soon."
Rumours have been rife in recent days regarding outgoings, with Harvey Knibbs and Joel Pereira linked with exits this month.
However, as of Saturday, Hunt had nothing to report for any outgoings in the coming days.
