Reading confirm return of popular winger following loan extension from Wolves
Reading have confirmed the return of Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Chem Campbell on loan until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old former Wales youngster scored five goals in the first part of the season, but his deal expired on January 4.
All parties were keen on an extension, but approval needed to be gained from the English Football League due to the club's current transfer embargo.
Following discussions from all parties, the wide man will remain in Berkshire until the end of the season.
However, he will not feature in tomorrow's FA Cup clash with Burnley due to injury, with Campbell currently back in the West Midlands receiving treatment.
First Team Manager Noel Hunt said, "We're delighted to secure Chem's signature until the end of the campaign. He has really grown into the season and has become an important part of our team. He's a great kid first and foremost, and he wants to learn, he wants to work, and he wants to improve.
They're the kind of people you want in this football club, the type of people who want to improve not just themself, but improve the team too. We're absolutely delighted, and we're sure there were a few takers for him, and it shows the strength we have inside the building and the characters we have that he wanted to come back here and play for us."
