Reading's home match with Mansfield Town has been selected for the annual 'Royals Remembered' fixture.

Reading Football Club, in close connection with Supporters' Trust at Reading [STAR], are to put together a memorial montage ahead of kick-off on Sunday, December 29 when Mansfield visit the Select Car Leasing Stadium for the first time.

A tough year for all connected with the club, Christmas is a time to remember that it is the most important of unimportant things, and there is more to life than the Royals.

Last season, 100s of submissions were sent in as the Royals beat Wigan Athletic just days before Christmas, Femi Azeez scoring the winner ahead of what was a prosperous festive period for Ruben Selles' side.

Nigel Clough's Mansfield, who have settled well in the third tier after promotion last year, will be the final visitors to RG2 of the calendar year.
