Reading forward to miss up to two weeks after having scan on training ground injury
Reading forward Chem Campbell is set to miss Saturday's trip to Crawley Town as he continues to struggle with injury.
The 21-year-old has missed the last two matches, a win at Wigan Athletic and draw with Exeter City, after sustaining injury during training on Friday.
The Royals, looking to make it eight matches unbeaten on Saturday, are to be backed by a sell-out away contingent in Crawley, the first trip to the Broadfields Stadium since an FA Cup tie in 2013.
The Wolves loanee has had a scan and could miss up to fortnight, but manager Noel Hunt has said they will 'play it by ear.'
"He had a scan," Hunt confirmed after Tuesday's stalemate with the Grecians. "We have to see how it settles down, hopefully it’s only a week or two. We just have to play it by ear. It’s quite swollen but there is no structural damage which is a really good thing.
"I think he will be out of the Crawley game, but we see where we go from there."
Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan returned from injury in midweek to feature for 30 minutes while club captain Andy Yiadom has made two half-hour cameos in the last two matches after almost 12 months out injured.
Reading host Wrexham next Tuesday.
