Reading proved disappointing on Tuesday in a 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury Town, with few players walking away with much credit in the bank.

Take a look below at our ratings from the night.

Joel Pereira, 6: His major contribution was the penalty save but overall his distribution was poor and he flapped at a few crosses, including the corner which eventually lead to the penalty in the first place.

Michael Craig, 5: 10 days on from one of his better displays in the win over Bolton, Craig was sluggish and among the many players on the night that appeared to lose their ability to pass the ball. Hopefully an off game.

Amadou Mbengue, 6: Constantly looking to break the lines and commit the Shrews forward to a press, Mbengue's pace certainly helped the back line.

Tyler Bindon, 5: On what was a poor pitch, his passing and close control was not at its usual level. His poor defensive header helped set up Taylor Perry's second half equaliser.

Andre Garcia, 5: Similar to Craig on the other side, Garcia struggled to keep the ball as the match wore on. Did look good in the early stages, embarking on a few exciting runs from deep.

Lewis Wing, 5: Passing range was off compared to his usual standards and seemed ineffective sat so deep. Even his usual long-distance strikes failed to find the target.

Harvey Knibbs, 5: A very quiet evening by Knibbs' standards. Energy was there, as it always is, but his time on the ball was very forgetful.

Charlie Savage, 5: Similar to the entire midfield trio, the energy was there but quality was lacking. Passes going astray or failing to be trapped, the pitch played a part but every player seemed at least 10 per cent off their game.

Chem Campbell, 4: Really was not his night. Gave away a soft penalty and constantly seemed to run the ball out of play. Worked hard and tried to make amends for the penalty, perhaps tried too hard.

Jayden Wareham, 6: Took his goal well from six yards and had little else in the way of sights on goal. Hold-up play not as effective as it has been in recent weeks.

Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan, 6: Had the only moment of quality in the entire game, his run setting up Wareham's finish. Need to see more of it as he returns from injury.

Substitutes

Kelvin Abrefa, 5: Brought energy but had little impact.

Billy Bodin, 4: Totally anonymous off the bench. Yet to see enough to truly judge his January arrival.

Mamadi Camara, 4: Similar to Bodin, did very little in his 30 minute cameo.
