Noel Hunt has opted to give Jayden Wareham a start in the central striker role following the departure of Sam Smith for this afternoon's clash with Bolton Wanderers.

Wrexham signed Smith for £2m after 11 goals in the first part of the season, leaving the Royals with limited options up front.

Wareham, a regular for cup matches, is yet to score a league goal for the club.

He is one of two changes, as Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan is replaced by Mamadi Camara from the start.

Joel Pereira remains in goal behind a back four of Michael Craig, Harlee Dean, Tyler Bindon and Andre Garcia.

Lewis Wing, the captain, remains at the base of a midfield trio with Harvey Knibbs and Charlie Savage.

Chem Campbell and Camara will look to provide ammunition for young Wareham, up against an in-form Trotters side under the management of Steven Schumacher.

Six Academy graduates make up the bench, joined by experienced goalkeeper David Button.

Bolton have made four changes from Tuesday's win over Northampton Town.
