'We will be ready' - Napoli give Alejandro Garnacho transfer update after Man United reject bid
Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has confirmed the club "will be ready" to sign a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia amid their interest in Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News on Friday, United have rejected an offer of £40million from the Italian club to sign the 20-year-old, whose valuation was estimated at €97.4m (£82.27m) by the CIES Football Observatory last week.
Napoli are actively pursuing a replacement for Georgia international Kvaratskhelia, who left the club to join Paris Saint-Germain on Friday. It is understood Napoli head coach Antonio Conte has identified Garnacho as an ideal replacement.

Garnacho is not actively pursuing a move away from Old Trafford despite mounting speculation over his future. United are still mindful of the Premier League's profitability and sustainability rules and that could force their hand before the end of this month's transfer window.
Kvaratskhelia was an excellent operator for Napoli, regularly providing goals and assists, meaning he has left a huge void within the squad that needs filling. Garnacho is capable of providing goals and assists in the attacking third.
Asked about Napoli's ongoing interest in the Argentina international, Manna told Sky Italy: "We are making some evaluations, we must not get carried away by the frenzy. There is expectation, we will be ready but on Napoli's terms."
Garnacho has started both of United's last two matches after a fighting his way back into the squad having been left out of head coach Ruben Amorim's plans for last month's Manchester derby victory over City at the Etihad Stadium.
United's transition to a 3-4-2-1 formation has meant that the natural wingers in the squad have had to adapt to the new manager's plans, with wing-backs expected to provide the width.
