Did referees incorrectly rule Eagles' DeVonta Smith catch as complete?
Usually, haste makes waste unless you're the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
That speed and aggressiveness might've saved the Eagles in the NFC championship game, at least early on. During the first quarter, wide receiver DeVonta Smith made a catch on the sideline.
With a seemingly harmless 20-yard reception for a first down, the Eagles were on the move again.

Upon further review, Smith's right foot was in the air. It appeared to come down on the sideline after he caught the ball.

The Eagles rushed to the line and got the snap off before the Commanders could challenge the ruling.
The Eagles would cash in on that drive with Saquon Barkley's second touchdown of the game. They ended the first quarter with a 14-3 advantage.
Washington has controlled the clock early on, but the explosive plays from Philadelphia have been the difference.
