Relentless Stephen Johansen in his car popping, banging and spitting flames
AFTER a brilliant class win last time out at Brands Hatch, Warrington's Stephen Johansen and co-driver Colin Stephens were full of confidence going into the latest round of the Circuit Rally Championship at Snetterton.
They had their Subaru Impreza running like a dream and it certainly showed as they took the Class B stage win by five seconds from the Mitsubishi Evo 4 of Stuart Cadman and Mike Withers.
Stage two was even better as they really put the hammer down, taking another stage win by another incredible 22 seconds.
With the car popping, banging and spitting flames, Johansen was relentless and pulled out another 23 seconds on stage three.
The next three stages were somewhat less dominant but it was still a pleasure to watch and listen to that flat four being thrashed around the Norfolk circuit.
Taking no chances, the duo lost a bit of time, but Johansen and Stephens still took the Class B win in the end by 21 seconds which was 14th overall.
With the next round at Anglesey just a month away, they will be hoping for more of the same.
