So apparently Instagram isn’t just a place to go to show off pictures of your pets or to brag about your latest beach holiday while the rest of the world are stuck in an office.

No, it’s an online haven to get even more rich if you’re a celebrity or sports super star – especially if your handle is @cristiano.

For those of us who struggle for double-figure likes on what we think are our fantastically arty images, the insta-famous don’t need to even try and be creative.

HopperHQ have released the first fully-automated scheduling tool. In short, they have calculated how much famous people get paid for just one upload to the photo-sharing social media site.

If you’re struggling with summer spending as well as the heat, then look away now.

Cristiano Ronaldo can command upward of $750,000 (£570,000) every ad-based picture he – or let’s be honest, his team – post on Instagram.

The Juventus star leaves the rest of sport chasing his tail. The next highest earner is PSG’s Neymar, who takes home a cool $600,000 per post (£455,000).

Ronny even leaves old rival Lionel Messi is his wake – every one of the Barcelona star’s pics earns him half a million dollars (£380,000).

Fourth on the list of sports stars is David Beckham, who commands $300,000 (£227,000) with Gareth Bale earning a very healthy $185,000 (£140,000) per post.

But top of the global list is the second most famous Kardashian. Kim’s half sister Kylie Jenner commands £1m for every promotional post to her 110 million followers.

She earns more even though Ronaldo has 25 million more people subscribing to his Instagram page.

He doesn’t like playing second fiddle to anyone as we know so we bring good news. Things are looking up for the Portuguese star.

Last year Jenner was placed fourth and was picking up ‘just’ $400,000 per post on average.

She has more than doubled that inside 12 months as the wild world of social media paydays keeps on spinning.

Mike Bandar, co-founder of HopperHQ.com said: “Social media marketing has grown so much within the last year, and a tool that continues to yield results for brands is celebrity and influencer social endorsements.

“It’s truly amazing what influence these professionals have over their audience, and in terms of sales and exposure many of their clients claim that they’re worth every penny.”
