Robbie Fowler Liverpool contract theory offers hope to end Arne Slot's biggest worry
Robbie Fowler believes that two Liverpool players have already signed contract extensions at Anfield. Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold all face uncertain futures at Liverpool beyond the summer - with all three seeing their current contracts expire on June 30.
The ongoing saga has been the talk of Anfield - and beyond - for months with fans and pundits alike speculating about the future of Liverpool's key trio. Not only has Alexander-Arnold been linked with a move away from the club, but fresh rumours from Saudi Arabia suggest that both Salah and Van Dijk could possibly be on their way to Al-Hilal in a sensational double swoop.
As uncertainty continues to hang over Anfield, Liverpool could potentially lose all three players at the end of the season. But Fowler, who's working as an Amazon Prime pundit for Liverpool's clash against Lille on Tuesday night, reckons two of the three stars may have already agreed fresh terms with the Reds.

"I do have a little theory actually, I don't know if this is so far from the truth. I just think two of them have signed already, for some reason and maybe one hasn't," he said in a video released by PrimeVideoSport.
"But a simple fact is that the club can't come out and say; 'You have signed', because it makes the other one look worse. I think there is a possibility that may have happened."
He added: "I think if two of them sign and they [Liverpool] come out and say; 'We've signed them' then it puts so much pressure on the player who hasn't." Van Dijk and Salah appear the most likely to commit their futures to Liverpool and, while it seems there is still work to be done, supporters will be hoping their wait for positive news will soon come to an end.
