Romelle Donovan told what is expected after Birmingham City exit
Romelle Donovan has been charged with adding goals and assists after his deadline day move to Brentford’s B team.
For the second transfer window running the Birmingham City youngster left St Andrew’s on loan, this time swapping League One Burton for a role with the Bees’ reserve team.
He does so having struggled to make an impact with the Brewers, where he played only nine times and saw his loan terminated last month. He played for Blues’ under-21s in recent weeks but has now gone to the Gtech Community Stadium. Neither club mentioned it in their respective announcements, but Sky Sports reported Brentford have an option to buy the 18-year-old.

Before then, though, Donovan has the chance to show the London outfit his undoubted potential. Brentford B head coach Neil MacFarlane said: "We look forward to working with Romelle in the months that remain of this season. We have a lot of exciting games to be played between now and the end of the season; Romelle will definitely add to our attacking options within the group.
"He is a player who has really good technical abilities aligned to our attacking style of play and he comes into a team that has been performing so well this season. We believe he can add goals and assists to further enhance the current group."
Donovan played 10 times for Blues last season after being brought into the first team set-up by Wayne Rooney, but he has not been able to sustain his breakthrough under Chris Davies, despite making progress through the age groups with England Under-19s.
