Rooney winner, 'Juanfield', last minute bedlam - Manchester United's last five wins at Liverpool
Manchester United visit Anfield on Sunday having not won there in eight seasons. Ruben Amorim’s side will be looking to put their names in the history books with a win over their bitter rivals.
They head across to the home of their rivals in dire form and recent history in the fixture suggests that won't be changing this weekend.
The Red Devils have played at Liverpool 29 times since the turn of the century and have only won eight times, but what were the last five wins for United at Anfield?

To look for United’s last win at Liverpool you have to go all the way back to the Louis van Gaal era. In January of 2016, United won 1-0 thanks to a 78th minute Wayne Rooney goal, which was his 176th top-flight goal for the club and was a new record for the most Premier League goals scored by a player for one club.
David de Gea made two crucial saves, with strikes from Adam Lallana and Emre Can causing problems for the Spaniard.
In the same season Liverpool beat United in the Europa League round of 16 over two legs, however United finished two places above the Merseyside club in the Premier League, as they sat in fifth spot.
Before this game United fans would have been fairly confident they could win at Anfield thanks to what happened in the previous season in 2014/15.
United fans will remember what happened at ‘Juanfield’, when Juan Mata scored two goals to give the away team a 2-1 win, but that was not he most significant event that happened in that game.
Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard came on as a substitute and was sent off 38 seconds into the second half after stamping on Ander Herrera’s right leg, in what would be his last game in the classic fixture.
Daniel Sturridge scored in the 69th minute but the 10 men of Liverpool could not force a comeback.
2013 saw both teams put the rivalry aside before the game, as they remembered victims and families from the Hillsborough disaster.
Jonjo Shelvey’s two footed foul on Jonny Evans meant that he was sent off in the first half and Liverpool were down to 10 men, however the home side responded to this in a positive manner in the second half, when captain Steven Gerrard volleyed home the first goal of the game.
United levelled the game quickly thanks to a weak foot spectacular goal from Rafael. With 15 minutes to go Glen Johnson brought down Antonio Valencia in the box and a penalty was given, Robin van Persie stepped up and scored to give Alex Ferguson’s side all three points in what would be the last season where United won the Premier League.
Five years earlier was the Reds last win on the red side of Liverpool, as a lurking Carlos Tevez scored three minutes before half time in what would prove to be the only goal in the game.
United won the double that season but Liverpool had the chance to meet them in the 2007/08 Champions League final, but they lost 3-2 (4-3 on aggregate) in the second leg in extra time to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The season prior to this United also won 1-0, but this time a player down with four minutes to go, as Paul Scholes was sent off after Xabi Alonso grabbed the Englishman, United’s number 18 tried to retaliate and took a swing at Alonso.
A Ronaldo free kick was saved by Pepe Reina but rebounded into the path of John O’Shea who tapped in a last-minute winner for the Red Devils, which saw bedlam in the away end.
