Rory McIlroy prize money from Dubai Desert Classic
Rory McIlroy enjoyed another big pay-day on Sunday after finishing tied for fourth at the Dubai Desert Classic. The Northern Ireland golfer produced a rousing final round of -6 to finish on -12 for the tournament.
It saw him tie with Niklas Norgaard Moller for fourth, three shots behind eventual champion Tyrrell Hatton. Australian Daniel Hillier finished second, with England's Laurie Canter third.
The Dubai Desert Classic carried a huge prize fund of $9 million (£7,396,452) and 8,000 Race to Dubai points, with champ Hatton claiming the first prize of $1,530,000 (£1,257,396).

Meanwhile, fellow Northern Ireland golfer Tom McKibbin - who is being linked with a move to LIV Golf - finished tied for sixth and claimed £292,500.
Eventual winner Hatton said afterwards: "It feels amazing. I said earlier in the week this is one of the events you want to have on your CV. It's such an iconic event on the DP World Tour.
"To add my name to the list of amazing champions before me, to add my name is a dream come true."
