Ruben Amorim has already received Bryan Mbeumo transfer response amid clear Man United chance
Manchester United have been sent a clear Bryan Mbeumo transfer message with a major opportunity on the horizon. The Brentford star has been in sensational form this season with his tally of Premier League goal contributions rising to 17 following the 5-0 win against Southampton this past weekend.
Ruben Amorim has got off to a mixed start at Old Trafford with excellent results away at Manchester City and Liverpool coming alongside some poor defeats to the likes of Bournemouth and Wolves. The January transfer window appeared to be a chance for him to improve his squad, but that is far from the case.
Without sanctioning sales, United have no budget for the winter window and though Marcus Rashford could depart over the coming weeks it is far more likely to be on loan. Joshua Zirkzee and Alejandro Garnacho are two other attackers linked to exits with it clear Amorim wants added quality in that area.

Matheus Cunha appears to be perfect for his tactical system while Mbeumo's versatility to play at wing-back and in the front three is appetising. Liverpool have been long-term admirers of the Cameroon international while Arsenal are the latest big club to have taken a keen interest with the winger now on their transfer shortlist for the summer.
A January switch to any of those clubs already appeared unlikely and any remaining slim hopes look to have been dashed by Brentford boss Thomas Frank. On teams trying to sign Mbeumo in January, he said: "I would say good luck. We love Bryan. He loves playing here. He has had a fantastic season, so nothing will happen."
While it is very likely he remains in west London for the remainder of the season, a move elsewhere in the summer is entirely possible. There is more time for negotiations, budgets are bigger, and some clubs need to sell in order to continue complying with profit and sustainability rules.
It is also absolutely worth noting that Mbeumo sees his current contract expire in 2026 and therefore this summer could be the Bees' last chance of receiving a fee for his departure if he does not agree an extension. An Ivan Toney repeat is the last thing Frank will want and based on that, Mbeumo could be available in just a few months and United certainly look set to be there.
