Ruben Amorim can build his dream Manchester United XI around five players
Amad is fast becoming a man for the big occasions at Manchester United.
After scoring a dramatic winner against Manchester City prior to Christmas, the Ivorian earned the Reds a point at Anfield on Sunday, becoming the first United player since Robin van Persie in 2012/13 to score against both City and Liverpool away from home in the same season.
Despite coming up with the goal that earned United a point they thoroughly deserved, Amad's performance at Anfield was not necessarily his most glittering. He was competitive and rolled his sleeves up to help out defensively, but the bulk of United's attacks came down the left.

Nevertheless, Amad found himself in the right place at the right time to convert Alejandro Garnacho's centre and come up with another memorable moment. What's more, his determination to work tirelessly for the team further highlighted his importance to Ruben Amorim's vision.
He operated as the right-sided No.10 at Anfield, the fifth Premier League game running he has started in that role. Whatever position Amorim intends on using Amad in long-term, there is no doubt he must be central to the club's rebuilding project. The same goes for Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo.
Starting alongside each other in midfield for only the sixth time, the duo produced their best performance as a paring by a mile at Anfield. Ugarte, whose importance has become increasingly obvious in recent weeks, was excellent as the midfield anchor, winning four tackles as well as proving effective with possession, highlighted by his passing accuracy of 88 per cent.
United signed Ugarte last summer with the intention of him becoming the midfield battering ram they had been missing. It has taken time for him to settle in, but being reunited with Amorim, with who he worked with at Sporting Lisbon, has brought the best out in him.
Mainoo was also near his best at Anfield. Working in tandem with Ugarte to stifle Liverpool's midfield threat, he also won four tackles. With a combined age of just 42, Ugarte, as a midfield enforcer, and Mainoo, as a forward-thinking No.8, both have the quality and the longevity to form a long-term partnership in United's midfield.
United's switch to a 3-4-3 has meant a new role for captain Bruno Fernandes, who once again operated as the left-sided No.10 against Arne Slot's team. He produced his best performance in quite some time, working tirelessly for the team, both with and without the ball.
In possession, he was neat and creative; out of it, he hassled and harried the home team. It was a performance that showed just how influential he can be when he operates at the peak of his powers.
His performances have been up and down this season, making him no different to many of his teammates, but Sunday highlighted just how brilliant a player he is when at full throttle. He has been United's best signing since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement and a cluster of below par performances in the midst of a collective struggle should not mask that.
He is a seasoned architect, and United, when the time does eventually come, will have a job on their hands to replace him. He is very much suitable for one of the two No.10 positions in Amorim's system.
As well as seeing positive contributions from Ugarte, Mainoo, Fernandes and Amad as starters at Anfield, Amorim will have no doubt been pleased with Leny Yoro's cameo. His challenge to rob Darwin Nunez of the ball inside the penalty area in the closing stages has gone viral.
United signed the Frenchman from Lille last summer in what was as a statement arrival. He was on Real Madrid's radar and United did very well to secure his signature.
A pre-season injury has denied him the chance to get into any sort of meaningful rhythm thus far, but his performances, either as a starter or via the bench, have been encouraging to say the least. He should be one of the main pillars United attempt to rebuild Amorim's first-choice XI around.
