A beady-eyed supporter spotted Ruben Amorim's reaction to Lisandro Martinez netting the opener in Manchester United's clash against Liverpool. The 26-year-old defender played a key role at either end of the pitch in the 2-2 draw at Anfield on Sunday evening.

Martinez fired United ahead shortly after half-time, blasting the ball past Alisson Becker and into the roof of the net. The Argentina international combined brilliantly with Bruno Fernandes, peeling off Trent Alexander-Arnold to find space in the box.

As he and his teammates wheeled away in celebration, and the United coaching staff leapt from their seats in jubilation, Amorim remained cool and collected. While his colleagues punched the air, the Portuguese tactician turned and walked nonchalantly over to his water bottle.

Amorim celebrated the goal with a sip of water and a few strides up and down the technical area. The moment captured by a supporter in the stands has gone viral on social media, with United fans lauding the 'audacity' to remain calm.

Martinez marshalled the backline for the remainder of the tie, helping United salvage a crucial point on the road. In an interview with the BBC after the game, the Argentinean revealed the secret behind his side's drastic improvement.

"Today we showed the right character," said Martinez. "We believed until the end. We should have won the game, we couldn't but we tried. We have to take the positives. We were a different team than a few games ago, we played a really good game.

"We have to believe more in what we can do," added the centre-half. "We changed our mindset, the belief, the confidence. With confidence in every duel, in the passing and defending, we really enjoyed the game.

"If you saw the last few games, it was poor. It's true and we accept that. Today we played really well and we have to believe. Football really is mental."

On United's back-three, he added: "We played with freedom today, playing without feelings. When you play like that, you can enjoy football. I'm really happy with the performance.

"For sure we did our tactics, but today we thought more about our skills, our team, our best things. We have top players here who can play with the ball. But, a few games ago, when we had the ball we were stressed."
