Ruben Amorim explains why he does not like his chant from Manchester United fans
Ruben Amorim modestly said he does not like his chant from Manchester United supporters.
Amorim has taken charge of three games so far and United fans started serenading him seconds into their draw with Ipswich Town last week.
United supporters chant Amorim's name to the tune of Baby Give It Up by KC and the Sunshine band, a tune that has been used for past players ranging from Nicky Butt to Rodrigo Possebon to Gabriel Obertan.
"Amorim's red and white army" has also been aired during the first weeks of the Portuguese's tenure but the United boss requested the matchgoers focus on singing about the players and the club.

"I don’t like my chant," Amorim admitted. "I don’t like it. I feel a little bit, not embarrassed, but because I’m the coach, they have to chant for the players and for the club. So it's not a good thing for me.
"I understand and really appreciate the connection with the supporters but I want them to support the team and the players because they are on the pitch and I'm outside the pitch. But I am really honoured by that, I feel a connection with the supporters but we know we need results to maintain that."
Amorim takes United to Arsenal on Wednesday for their first match against one of the Premier League's elite. United have not won in the league at the Emirates Stadium since December 2017 and their last victory at Arsenal was in the fourth round of the FA Cup in January 2019.
"It’s important to be brave," Amorim stressed. "When I say brave it’s not to press all the time higher, it’s not the same, we have to understand the game, the moments of the game, we need to have the ball.
"That is a key point, we want to have the ball, we want also to dominate some moments of the game. This match, it’s hard to control all of the game . And if I say something we have to be brave."
