Rutherglen Glencairn will click and go on a winning run again, roars co-boss
Joe Pryce believes Rutherglen Glencairn can go on a run of wins that will take them back on top of the West of Scotland First Division.
Glens fell to a 3-2 defeat at home to Kilwinning Rangers on Saturday, dropping them down to fifth in the table, but still only three points behind leaders Renfrew, and with two games in hand.
Co-boss Pryce acknowledges that his side are not in a good place, with just one win in their last 10 games, but says they have the necessary quality to haul themselves back up the table.
“We’re in a tough place at the moment, “ he said, “but we just have to keep working and hopefully we’ll turn the corner soon.
“Everybody can see the way we play the game, we know that’s going to click again for us like it did at the start of the season, at some stage.
“We just have to work through this tough period. We know we’ll get there, we have every faith in the players, and in the way we play, so we know this is going to turn for us. We’re going to hit a run of form again.
“We’re only three points off the top, we’re still very much in it, and that shows how tight this league is.
“Everybody’s dropping points, and everybody can beat anybody.

“If you go on any kind of run you’ll find yourself at the top of the division.
“We’ve only won one game in 10, and yet on Saturday we had the opportunity to go back to the top, just because other teams are involved in cup ties or not playing.
“It has always been a notoriously difficult league to get out of, and everybody knows if you can put a run together of three, four or five wins on the bounce, you’ll find yourself at the top of the league.
“We just have to keep working hard, keep doing what we’re doing.
“We have every faith in what we do, we’re not going to change, and we know that this run is going to stop. That we’re going to go on a run and get some wins under our belt.”
Glencairn are back at the Hamish B. Allan Stadium on Saturday as they welcome a Blantyre Vics side that has won all four previous meetings.
Pryce said: “Blantyre Vics have been notoriously difficult for us – that’s four times Blantyre have played us and they’ve beaten us, so we know what kind of challenges we’re going to face on Saturday.”
