Ruud van Nistelrooy answers Leicester City transfer question amid defensive woes
Leicester City are considering strengthening every position of Ruud van Nistelrooy's squad in the January transfer window, not just in defence, the Foxes boss confirmed after Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa.
The Foxes' defence was under the spotlight once again at Villa Park after two defensive mistakes saw them suffer their 12th defeat of the season. Jannik Vestergaard's poor header allowed Ross Barkley to open the scoring before James Justin's costly mistake led to Leon Bailey's winner.
It's the latest in a long list of errors made by Leicester in the Premier League this campaign. Many have called for Justin to be removed from the side due to his poor form but options are limited with Ricardo Pereira currently unavailable.

With the January transfer window open, Leicester are expected to strengthen Van Nistelrooy's squad to ensure they stay in the Premier League. Asked if he needed to bring in more defenders this month, the Foxes boss insisted the club were looking at improving all areas of the squad, rather than one specific.
"We're looking at the possibilities and when the possibility is right for the club, we are looking to take them," he said. "We're looking in all areas, possibilities to strengthen, not necessarily in a certain position. Everywhere in the squad."
City are yet to make a single signing in the January transfer window but have been linked with a list of players. A new centre-back, full-back, and winger are thought to be among the priorities.
