Ryan Reynolds' staggering net worth emerges as he's named world's second-highest paid actor
Ryan Reynolds has once again been named as one of Hollywood's highest earners for 2024.
A list compiled by Forbes has placed the current Wrexham co-owner just behind Dwayne Johnson in the list of highest paid actors from last year.
Johnson was estimated to have raked in £81m over the last year, with most of his cash coming courtesy of a lucrative deal with Netflix for action comedy Red One. Another big earner for the professional wrestler-turned film star has been his percentage of the profits made from the film Moana 2.

Reynolds meanwhile, is believed to have trousered a cool £79m in 2024, with much of his success coming from the Marvel smash hit Deadpool & Wolverine, while family film IF and documentary Welcome to Wrexham are also believed to be big contributors.
Reynolds and fellow co-owner Rob McElhenney have ploughed in an estimated £20m of their own cash into the club since taking over back in 2020.
In one episode of the documentary back in 2023, they were informed they had lost around $12million since taking over the club, with Reynolds responding: "I'm going to throw up."
Wrexham have certainly spent big recently, smashing their transfer record in January with a seven-figure move for Reading's Sam Smith, while they also made a move to land former Premier League striker Jay Rodriguez.
In total, the club have broken their transfer record eight times in the last four years.
It's a point touched on in a recent advert headed up by the duo, which was recently used to promote the club's 50 per cent sale on kits.
The advert begins with Reynolds, wearing Wrexham shirt, saying: "You may have seen a lot of announcements recently. We signed some pretty legit players in the transfer window."
McElhenney adds: "And we unveiled plans for a shiny new Kop, which is a stadium."
Reynolds says: "And, it is expensive! Running a football club is like lighting money on fire except it doesn't keep you warm."
Nevertheless, despite the costs involved in propelling Wrexham up the leagues, Reynolds doesn't appear short of a buck or two just yet.
Comedians Kevin Hart (£64m) Jerry Seinfeld (£47m) and Reynolds' Deadpool co-star Hugh Jackman (£39m) rounded off the top five best-paid actors.
The only woman in the top 10 is Nicole Kidman, who sits eighth thanks to her work on shows Expats, Lioness, and The Perfect Couple. She also starred in two movies, Babygirl and A Family Affair.
