Ryde C remain on top of Island League Division 1 at midway point of season
RYDE C still lead the table at the halfway point in the Isle of Wight Table Tennis League season.
With six points more than their nearest rivals, Ryde Rankers, the team is on top form in Division 1.
Havenstreet A have dropped to fifth after a 7-3 defeat by Ryde A, who also comfortably defeated Newport Vics B this week.
Scott Lawson, with Ryde A, remains unbeaten this season so far, while Ryde Rankers' Hugh Idle and Ryde Goshawks' Steve Mills have only lost one game each.
The averages table is dominated by Ryde players, with Michael Bulpitt, of Havenstreet, being the top performer from another club.
In Division 2, leaders Ryde Revellers were narrowly beaten by fifth-placed Havenstreet B, with Carl Rye being the player of the match, remaining unbeaten.
Ryde Detonators, in second place, were held to a draw by the lower-ranked Ryde Rascals.
Ryde Rising Stars move up to third place after a 9-1 win over Newport Vics C.
In Division 3, Wroxall Warriors are just one point behind leaders St Lawrence Lizards after a 6-4 victory over Ryde Retailers.
Andrew Bailey from Wroxall remains unbeaten.
Robin Clegg from Ryde Frogs won all three games against St Lawrence, including a victory against the top-ranked Derek Pittard, in a thrilling five-set match.
