Sadio Mane insists Liverpool can claim first Premier League but must win ALL their remaining matches

Sadio Mane believes Liverpool are on the brink of an historic first Premier League title – but must win all of their remaining matches to make it happen.

The 26-year-old Senegalese striker has been in sensational form this season, scoring 21 goals for club and country since August.

It has helped fire Jurgen Klopp’s team to the top of the table, although Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are just one point behind the Reds with a game in hand.

City are still on course for an unprecedented quadruple, having already won the League Cup with an FA Cup semi-final this weekend ahead of a Champions League quarter-final against Tottenham Hotspur.

But Mane, who burst onto the Premier League scene with Southampton in 2014, believes the Reds can pip reigning champions City to championship.

He said: “That [belief] is what makes you more motivated and makes everyone say: ‘Let’s go, we can do it’, so I think it’s important.

“This is a very, very good sign and I think everything is possible, so let’s do it and win it.

“To be honest I think we need to win all of the games, even if it will not be easy. We still can win every game because we are a good team and we play very well.”

“Sometimes it’s difficult after the international break because we only had two or three sessions together.

“Now we are back and we start with a win, I think it’s very important. We have three or four more days to train together so be like before and go again.”
