Saints juniors getting set for new season
It may only be the first week of the new year but juniors at Taunton St Andrews Cricket Club have already announced their 2025 arrangements for pre-season training.
For softballers aged between 6 and 12 years old, Thursday evening training starts at King’s College Sports Hall on February 27 between 6 and 7.15pm.
TSA softballers will also be taking part in three Sunday afternoon Under 11 Winter Festivals, at Queen’s College, Taunton on January 26, and Bridgwater on February 9, while the third is also at Queen’s College on March 16.
Availability will be requested shortly from existing TSA Junior softballers.
From Sunday 23rd February onwards winter hardball nets will take place for Under 13 and Under 15s at the King’s College Cricket Hub starting at 4.30pm.
Under 13s and Under 15s who play men’s cricket are welcome to join the men’s Sunday sessions at 10.00am - 12.00am, also in the King’s College Cricket Hub , again from February 23.
From Sunday, February 23, Men’s Training will be taking place in the King’s College Cricket Hub between 10 and noon.
From Tuesday April 1st TSA Juniors move outside to the Wyvern Club on Tuesday evenings at 6pm, for summer training sessions for all age groups .
The younger group of softballers will train until 7pm on Tuesdays, the older softball group will train until 7.30pm.
Juniors will be able to register and pay subscriptions any Tuesday evening in April.
League matches will be at the same times for the age group teams as 2024 - Friday evenings for U13s , Sunday mornings for U11s and U15s.
In addition there will be the local and national cups for U11s, U13, and U15s, as well as softball festivals. Fixtures will be posted in due course on the TDYCL ( Taunton & District Youth Cricket League ) website.
