Saints learn severity of Dibling ankle injury as starlet ruled out
SAINTS starlet Tyler Dibling is expected to be sidelined for between four to six weeks with an ankle injury he picked up at Manchester United.
The youngster has not been named in the squad to face Nottingham Forest and is expected to miss fixtures against Newcastle United, Ipswich and Burnley.
Dibling could also miss Premier League matches against AFC Bournemouth and Brighton & Hove Albion, which come in the second half of February.
Dibling, 18, was substituted in the 63rd minute of Southampton's 3-1 defeat at Man United after the teenager helped put his side ahead.
Academy graduate Dibling climbed highest from a Mateus Fernandes corner and his flick-on was inadvertently directed in by Manuel Ugarte.
Saints boss Ivan Juric had already been planning a pair of substitutions around the hour mark before Dibling went down for treatment on the pitch.
