Santiago Gimenez spotted at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Spurs battle Arsenal for £39m transfer
Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez was in attendance at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon to watch Tottenham's North London Derby defeat against Arsenal. Making a huge impression in the Eredivisie with Feyenoord ever since his move from Mexican side Cruz Azul in 2022, the 23-year-old frontman has been linked with a Premier League move after scoring goals for fun in the Netherlands.
Tottenham are one of the clubs who have been mentioned in regards to a move for the Mexican international and the same goes for north London rivals Arsenal. It's not hard to see why the Buenos Aires-born player, who is valued at £39million by Transfermarkt, has been linked with a Premier League transfer after registering 47 goals in 85 appearances for Arne Slot's impressive team.
Scoring 23 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions last season, Gimenez has already bettered his numbers this term after scoring 24 times in 40 appearances. As the Dutch side do still have three games left to go in the 2023/24 campaign, the prolific frontman will be confident of getting a few more goals to his name before the season comes to a close.
Following Feyenoord's Eredivisie fixture on Thursday evening against Go Ahead Eagles, Slot's squad appear to have been give some time off by the head coach if Gimenez's Instagram Stories are anything to go by. Pictured taking his seat on the Eurostar heading to London, Gimenez and his fiancée uploaded a number of images from a London hotel and they took part in a gym session before heading to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for Spurs' showdown against Arsenal.

Uploading pictures of the outside of the stadium and a video of Son Heung-min's penalty to his Instagram Stories, the highly-rated player could also be seen watching on from an executive box just behind the press seating in the west stand.
Gimenez wasn't the only Feyenoord player in attendance as defender Lutsharel Geertruida was also watching on from the opposite side of the stadium.
The versatile defender was in fact at the London Stadium 24 hours earlier to take in West Ham's 2-2 draw with Liverpool as he uploaded a photo on his Snapchat account. With Slot on course to replace Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool boss, Geertruida, who is the club's vice-captain, was previously mentioned as a player that former Liverpool star Dirk Kuyt would like the Reds to sign in the future.
In terms of Gimenez, his name will feature in the headlines over the coming months regarding a move away from Feyenoord due to his devastating form in front of goal. As Tottenham really could do with adding to their options up front ahead of next season, the Mexican international may continue to be linked with a move to N17 until his future is resolved one way or another.
