I saw how Edinson Cavani treated staff at PSG - it says a lot about ex-Man United forward
Edinson Cavani was known to refuse free gifts and regularly spend time with Paris Saint-Germain staff during his tenure with the Ligue 1 champions.
The striker, who played for Manchester United between 2020 and 2022, spent eight years of his career in the French capital and left the club as their all-time goalscorer - a record that has since been broken by Kylian Mbappe.
While his quality in front of goal was obvious since his early days in Italy with Palermo, it was his classy character that ultimately stole the show when he was at PSG.

During his illustrious career in the French capital, the Uruguayan, 37, grew close to PSG staff, and not just those directly involved with the football on the pitch. An extract from his 2017 autobiography, El Matador, by Romain Molina, provides an inside look into Cavani's warm personality and how he endeared himself to those in Paris.
"One day, he did a photo shoot for Hugo Boss, who is a partner of PSG," the extract reads. "At the end of the shoot, Cavani asks for the reference of a costume he likes. The photographer tells him he can take it, a brand manager confirms it.
"But Cavani refuses, explaining that he earns a lot of money and that he does not need to be given a gift. He just wanted to know the reference to buy the same one. He took two and at Hugo Boss, it was the first time we saw a PSG player do that. It's a little trick. But there is only Cavani who does that.
"He used to often go and eat with club employees and not the 'stars'. He used to always talk with the cleaning ladies, with the housekeepers. Do you realize that Cavani spent a month in his hometown in Salto while on vacation? In the middle of winter there! It was 7 degrees and he got there by regional bus.
"Six hour drive! When you earn €16million per year, it is not common." Cavani's supreme professionalism was also on show during his time at Old Trafford where he offered up his number seven shirt to Cristiano Ronaldo upon his return to the club in 2021.
The Boca Juniors star chose the number 21 as a replacement, which he wore during his 14-year international career, as the Portuguese legend publicly thanked Cavani. The Red Devils legend said: "I would like to say a huge thank you to Edi for this incredible gesture."
