Scotland to face Iceland and Liechtenstein in warm-up for 2026 World Cup qualifiers

Scotland will face Iceland and Liechtenstein in a June friendly double-header ahead of a busy end to 2025.

Iceland will visit Hampden Park on Friday, June 6 before Steve Clarke's men travel to Vaduz to take on Liechtenstein on Monday, June 9.

The matches will act as preparation for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, which begin later in the year.

There are the Nations League play-offs with Greece to come first on March 20 and 23 however, with Clarke’s side hoping to stay in League A.

Scotland have won all six meetings with Iceland, the last three of which have ended up in a 2-1 victory.

The Dark Blues have also won both encounters against Liechtenstein, with both Euro 2012 qualifiers settled by a one-goal margin.
