Sean Dyche update emerges ahead of Aston Villa after Everton talks
Everton's new owners are reportedly considering the future of manager Sean Dyche and have held talks over how to proceed from here, ahead of the Toffees' welcoming of Aston Villa to Goodison Park.
The Friedkin Group bought former Everton owner Farhad Moshiri out just before Christmas, in time for the Blues' move into their new stadium at the beginning of next season, but on the field things are far from rosy.
They have won just one of their last 11 Premier League games and in that time they've scored just six goals - four of them came in their only win in that time, over Wolverhampton Wanderers, and two of those were own goals by Wolves defender Craig Dawson. The Toffees were beaten 1-0 at Bournemouth on Saturday.

It was a result which drew ire from the away following, who have seen their club drop to just right above the relegation zone - they're a single point above Ipswich, who have claimed four points in their last two games, while 17th placed Wolves have seven points from a possible nine.
Everton did have a positive enough Christmas, holding Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea to draws, but they've since followed by defeats to Nottingham Forest and then, as already mentioned, to Bournemouth this past weekend.
Sky Sports now report that Friedkin have held discussions about how best to move forwards and that has brought Dyche's tenure into the spotlight this past weekend. The new owners intended to reassess in the summer, but they're being forced to make a judgement now because of growing concerns over the club's on-field performance.
Everton welcome Villa to Goodison Park, for the final time, on Wednesday 15 January for a 19:30 kick off.
