Seven changes as Michael Carrick shuffles his pack for Boro's FA Cup third-round tie

MICHAEL CARRICK has made seven changes to his Middlesbrough side for this afternoon's FA Cup third-round game against Blackburn Rovers.

Tom Glover, Anfernee Dijksteel, Dan Barlaser and Delano Burgzorg are the four players who have retained their place from the side that started last weekend's league draw with Cardiff City.

George Edmundson and Matt Clarke return to the heart of the back four, with Lukas Engel lining up at left-back.

Law McCabe makes his second start of the season at the heart of midfield, with Micah Hamilton expected to line up on the right-hand side.

Riley McGree will start on the opposite flank, with Alex Gilbert set to play in the 'number ten' role.

Burgzorg is expected to start as the central striker, with Emmanuel Latte Lath on the substitutes' bench.
