Leeds United and Daniel Farke expect a quiet month on the transfer front as they look to bounce back from last season's disappointing defeat in the Championship play-off final. The Whites are currently top of the table as they look to return to the Premier League at the second time of asking.

There could be incomings and outgoings at Elland Road this month. Nineteen players left the club in the summer and more could follow throughout the winter month.

Several players have attracted interest from other clubs, both temporary and permanent. LeedsLive takes a look at seven players who could leave Elland Road this month:

Patrick Bamford

It looks like Patrick Bamford's time at Elland Road could be coming to an end. He has only made 10 Championship appearances so far this term - all from the bench.

The striker has also failed to find the back of the net, with his last goal coming in the 2-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday in March. Bamford has scored 56 times in almost 200 games for the Whites

Wrexham have been reportedly interested in the striker, but it looks a difficult move for the League One side to pull off, while Genoa are another team that has been linked with the one-time England striker.

Pascal Struijk

If there is one name that Leeds supporters would like to see stay at Elland Road, at the end of January, it is Pascal Struijk. He has been 'Mr. Consistent' for Farke's side, completing the full 90 minutes in all but one league fixture this season.

There is a lot of Premier League interest with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton and Hove Albion all reportedly after the defender. The latter two will hope the ex-Leeds players Archie Gray and Georginio Rutter can tempt their former teammate to their respective clubs.

With the Whites looking to add to their depth in the back-line, Struijk is unlikely to be let go without a fight. It would leave a big hole in the defence and see Leeds lose a leader from their team.

Illan Meslier

Despite keeping 14 clean sheets so far this season, Illan Meslier has come in for criticism at times from fans. He is likely to beat last season's tally, but has been at fault for goals that have cost Leeds vital points with the draw at Sunderland the standout error.

Manchester United have had one eye on the French goalkeeper. This would require back-up keeper Altay Bayindir to leave Old Trafford, which is a possibility in January.

Leeds are unlikely to sell Meslier, but know that there will be interest in the 24-year-old. Ligue 1 side Rennes also have interest in the shot-topper, which would see him reunite with Glen Kamara.

Max Wober

Max Wober has really struggled to nail down a regular spot within the matchday squad at Elland Road. Knee injuries have forced the defender to spend time on the sidelines.

The 26-year-old made his fifth league appearance of the campaign in the 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers. He joined two years ago from RB Salzburg, but has only played 25 times since.

The 17-time Austrian champions could make a move to take Wober back the Red Bull Arena. The Austrian has also been linked with a move to Germany - he spent the 2023/24 season on loan with Borussia Monchengladbach.

Joe Gelhardt

Like Bamford, Joe Gelhardt has rarely featured for Farke's team this term. He has made three appearances, playing just nine minutes in his two substitution cameos.

However, the young forward has not appeared in the 20-man matchday squad since the 0-0 draw against Bristol City back in October. There is interest in Gelhardt and a chance for him to find regular football in January.

Again, like Bamford, he has also been linked with a move to Wrexham of League One, in a move that is more likely than his fellow striker. Other Championship clubs are also said to be eyeing up a loan deal for Gelhardt.

Charlie Crew

Charlie Crew made his Leeds United debut in November, replacing Joel Piroe in the 3-0 win over Plymouth Argyle. He also made his senior Wales debut in June 2024 against Gibraltar.

The 18-year-old is showing a lot of promise and a temporary January move would do the midfielder good. There are likely to be several clubs interested in taking Crew on loan for the rest of the season.

Sam Chambers

Like Crew, Sam Chambers also made his Leeds debut in the 3-0 win against Plymouth. The 17-year-old also appeared on the bench as recently as the 4-0 victory at home to Oxford United.

Chambers was named Leeds Under-21's player of the month for December. A Football League loan for the Scotland youth international would help with his development as well as provide vital senior football experience.
