FA Cup draw LIVE! Manchester United and City learn quarter-final fate after Tottenham knocked out
FA Cup draw LIVE!
The FA Cup quarter-finals will pitch Manchester United against Fulham after Wednesday’s draw.
Manchester City are also at home, up against old captain Vincent Kompany and his high-flying Burnley side.
Grimsby’s reward for downing Southampton in a huge shock was a trip to Brighton. An all-Championship clash between Sheffield United and Blackburn guarantees a lower-league side will be in the final four.

SPURS ARE OUT!
Tottenham chance!
21:46 , Marc Mayo
90+4 mins: KANE HEADS WIDE!
Perisic crosses and, falling backwards, it’s off target from the main man.
21:45 , Marc Mayo
90+3 mins: Perisic nods Hojbjerg’s pretty poor cross goalwards and Foderingham is alert - snatching the ball before any striker can react.
21:44 , Marc Mayo
90+1 mins: Superb challenge from Robinson shuts down Son in the box!
Another brilliant piece of defending from the hosts, who once again go up the pitch to win a free-kick.
21:43 , Marc Mayo
90 mins: Four added minutes...
21:42 , Marc Mayo
89 mins: Good cross falls to Skipp, who finds Son yet the Korean bobbles his touch into nowhere and United clear... then win a foul off Sanchez!
21:40 , Marc Mayo
87 mins: Sheffield United the better team since the goal. Tottenham need to dig deep if they want to drag this tie into extra time!
21:39 , Marc Mayo
85 mins: Lowe booked for a challenge on Kulusevski as Spurs look to grab the leveller.
Perisic’s cross is turned high and away, before it eventually comes back in and Perisic heads down for Foderingham to save.
21:37 , Marc Mayo
84 mins: Sheffield United bring the experienced head of Fleck on for McAtee in their midfield.
21:35 , Marc Mayo
82 mins: Danjuma emerges off the bench to try and save Tottenham. Off comes Porro.
21:34 , Marc Mayo
80 mins: WELL THEN!
Superb goal from Ndiaye, he rode Sanchez and Porro’s challenges before nutmegging Dier with his finish - which Forster will not be happy with.
Spurs go straight on the attack and Basham beats Son to the ball.
GGGOOOOAAALLLLL!!!! Sheffield United 1-0 Tottenham
21:32 , Marc Mayo
79 mins: Great work by Hojbjerg to get himself between Ndiaye and the ball as the Blades look to force the issue.
Spurs fail to clear though and Ndiaye wriggles through... HE SCORES!
21:30 , Marc Mayo
76 mins: Right, are we about to see a winner or will we need another 30 minutes?
Tottenham break with a slick move that Kulusevski sends wide to Perisic, his ball in is overhit with Kane free at the far post!
21:26 , Marc Mayo
72 mins: Brooks goes down with cramp and that’ll do for his night’s work. A very solid full Blades debut as Ndiaye replaces him.
Moura and Sarr are also coming off, Kulusevski and Skipp introduced by Spurs.
We make a double substitution 🔄 pic.twitter.com/LWQO8atjSl

Tottenham chance!
21:24 , Marc Mayo
71 mins: Porro breaks the line to latch onto Hojbjerg’s lob and has to check back on his control.
Kane is right behind him but the wing-back opts to fly a shot over the bar. A touch more composure and he could have made that into something bigger!
Dan Kilpatrick at Bramall Lane
21:23 , Marc Mayo
Harry Kane is on and I think it’s fair to say he will not return to the bench this season when fit. Richarlison has been short of service but fluffed his one chance and look ill at ease at No9.
We make our first change of the evening 🔄 pic.twitter.com/E94t9ih4YC

21:22 , Marc Mayo
69 mins: Sanchez with an inexplicable slip and Lowe can race down the left flank, Dier clearing his cross and looking rather peeved with it all.
Just 20 minutes to go as an offside flag shuts down the Blades’ next move.
21:20 , Marc Mayo
67 mins: Berge okay to continue after jumping the first set of advertising boards and clattering into the second after chasing the ball into touch.
Looked a bit of a bang and he spent a few moments collecting himself as fans helpfully patted his back.
21:17 , Marc Mayo
64 mins: Here comes Kane! Richarlison off. Underwhelming from the Brazilian.
Meanwhile...
21:16 , Marc Mayo
Grimsby are in the FA Cup quarter-finals!
They’ve knocked out Premier League Southampton 2-1 at St Mary’s. The draw for the next round follows our game here...
21:14 , Marc Mayo
60 mins: Richarlison with a... bad effort absolutely seared from 22 yards on the spin and very nearly taking the corner flag with it. Not been his night.
Sheffield United bring Baldock and Coulibaly off for Lowe and Berge.
Dan Kilpatrick at Bramall Lane
21:11 , Marc Mayo
Just as against West Ham and Chelsea, Spurs raised the tempo at the start of the second half but United responded in kind, and are growing in confidence.
Harry Kane is warming up and it increasingly feels like a matter of when not if he is called for...
21:09 , Marc Mayo
56 mins: Sarr booked for cleaning out Doyle.
21:08 , Marc Mayo
55 mins: McAtee gets the hosts’ first serious attack of the half going, dazzling Sanchez before winning a corner off Dier.
Doyle curls an out swinger deep for Robinson to head over.
21:06 , Marc Mayo
53 mins: Moura again a threat as he darts forward, waved through by Robinson’s slip. The winger finds Son and he goes early on his left foot, flying a shot high over the bar.
21:04 , Marc Mayo
51 mins: The away end chants the names of Kane and Skipp as they warm up down the touchline, just as Spurs grow a bit more into the game.
A bold run from Moura brings him into the box before a cross deflects up for Foderingham to grab.
Tottenham chance!
21:01 , Marc Mayo
48 mins: Fine corner from Son is flicked on by Perisic at the near post and Foderingham has to react sharply to grab it on his line.
21:00 , Marc Mayo
46 mins: Tottenham straight into some steady possession before Son is sent tumbling by Baldock right by the referee.
An overdue card is sent the way of the Blades defender.
Kick-off! Sheffield United 0-0 Tottenham

No changes as Sarr gets the ball rolling.

Lots of options on the bench for Spurs if they fancy a change, including Harry Kane, Dejan Kulusevski and Arnaut Danjuma.
HT, 0-0. Not a classic at Bramall Lane. Now for Stellini's half-time call to Conte and perhaps a characteristic second-half rally from Spurs.

Stats check
20:54 , Marc Mayo
Goalless at the break but Tottenham lead eight to two in terms of shots, with two on target to zero for the hosts.
A 51-49 split in possession underlines the general course of the game has been very even.

Around the grounds
20:50 , Marc Mayo
Grimsby are 25 mintues away from a mega cupset on the South Coast, they lead Southampton 2-1 courtesy of two Gavin Holohan penalties before Duje Caleta-Car’s goal for Saints.
It’s also goalless at Manchester United vs West Ham and Burnley vs Fleetwood, who are down to ten men.
In the Premier League, Arsenal are two up at home to Everton with Liverpool and Wolves at 0-0.
Not a great half of football
20:45 , Marc Mayo
A scrappy 45 minutes which saw Tottenham need more time than really necessary to find any kind of flow.
Sheffield United look confident on the ball and solid at the back, without a cutting edge in a much-changed side.
Richarlison and Coulibaly have fired the best chances so far off target.
We're level at the break...

Half-time! Sheffield United 0-0 Tottenham
20:42 , Marc Mayo
All square at the break.
Dan Kilpatrick at Bramall Lane
20:41 , Marc Mayo
The Blades are finishing the half with their tails up, thanks largely to some very meek Spurs defending which left Ismaila Coulibaly through on goal. Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg were all at fault there.
20:41 , Marc Mayo
45 mins: The Blades looking to end the half well after that opportunity goes begging.
Baldock wins a foul off Sarr for Doyle to swing into the box. Forster comes out and claims at the second attempt.
One minute added on.
Sheffield United chance!
20:38 , Marc Mayo
42 mins: THE CHANCE OF THE GAME SO FAR!
Sharp flicks the ball on and Hojbjerg’s tame header is latched onto by Coulibaly... he shoots wide of the near post!
OFF THE BAR!
20:35 , Marc Mayo
40 mins: Moura dinks a cross in from the right channel and it clips the crossbar as Richarlison lurks to head it home - which actually takes it away from the Brazilian!
20:33 , Marc Mayo
38 mins: Porro pops up just outside the box and rolls it to Son, who has two red-and-white bodies in front of him as he feints to shoot and eventually drills an effort into a diving defender.
Dan Kilpatrick at Bramall Lane
20:31 , Marc Mayo
If VAR was in use tonight, George Baldock would surely be in trouble. The defender caught Ivan Perisic on the shins with a lunging tackle, leaving the Croatian in a heap but able to play on.
It’s a nervy affair at Bramall Lane 😬#EmiratesFACup pic.twitter.com/ygthEFxNml

20:31 , Marc Mayo
35 mins: Brooks pulled up for a foul on Davies to end a promising moment for Sheffield United, who must be happy with their half’s work.
Just 10 minutes until the break.
20:28 , Marc Mayo
32 mins: No VAR, it’s worth noting, as Baldock’s studs land on Perisic’s shin in a brisk challenge that left the Spurs man in pain.
Any video official could not be blamed for a red-card check on that, although whether it would be overturned or not is up for debate.
20:26 , Marc Mayo
31 mins: Moura gets in the Six Nations spirit with a hopeful lash from range that cleared the crossbar and very nearly the roof.
Dan Kilpatrick at Bramall Lane
20:25 , Marc Mayo
Lucas Moura, making his first start since November 1, has been bright so far, buzzing around and trying to make something happen for Spurs. Pape Sarr has also added some calm to a scrappy game but, barring a chance for Richarlison, there’s not much else to report.
So close to giving us the opener, @richarlison97! 😮
— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) March 1, 2023
Tottenham chance!
20:25 , Marc Mayo
29 mins: The flag stays down as Richarlison is rolled in behind and he fires over at the near post!
The Blades expected a flag that never came... and replays show he was probably onside.
20:23 , Marc Mayo
27 mins: Promising counter for Spurs after Moura flips an early ball wide to Perisic.
Baldock fronts up to the Croatian and blocks the cross, clearing into touch and enjoying a bit of afters with Perisic for good measure to slow things right down again.
20:21 , Marc Mayo
25 mins: A scramble in the United box goes the hosts’ way after the ball very nearly lands for Richarlison to have a swipe at, before Dier is adjudged to have fouled his man amid muted penalty appeals from the distant away end.
20:20 , Marc Mayo
24 mins: A bit of vigour from Dier, who bursts forward and rides two challenges to tee up Richarlison out wide.
A low pass is slotted back towards the defender but he lets in run and Son is caught on his heels!
20:17 , Marc Mayo
22 mins: The first quarter of this game ticks by and, well, it won’t feature very heavily in any match reports.

20:16 , Marc Mayo
20 mins: Perisic tries his own long throw and Richarlison is beaten in the box as United clear.
20:13 , Marc Mayo
17 mins: Sanchez laid out on the turf after a tangle with Sharp which the Blades wanted a foul for. Looks like the took a knee to the stomach but will continue.
20:11 , Marc Mayo
14 mins: A couple of dangerous balls into the box, the first from the right too high for Moura to get on the end of (not really his game, is it?).
Moments later, Son drifts inside from the right and a bobbling cross is grabbed by Foderingham.
Dan Kilpatrick at Bramall Lane
20:09 , Marc Mayo
It’s a cold and wet evening in South Yorkshire, arguably not ideal conditions for a new signing from the continent. And it’s been a difficult start for Pedro Porro, who has already been pickpocketed twice.
20:08 , Marc Mayo
12 mins: A big gap between Hojbjerg and Sarr which may help explain why the Dane is caught in his own half - but Tottenham escape without any real threat on their goal.
20:06 , Marc Mayo
9 mins: That chance has spurred Tottenham on to build a bit of pressure, yet Sheffield United look confident in building out from the back to defuse their visitors.
20:03 , Marc Mayo
7 mins: Great tackle by Ahmedhodzic to shut down Moura’s run into the box from a Brooks error but Spurs keep it alive.
Richarlison fires a shot into a defender in their first real attack of the night!
20:00 , Marc Mayo
4 mins: Young Brooks is looking a tricky player as the Blades put some early pressure on a Spurs side which notoriously starts slow.
Ahmedhodzic heads over from a corner, just getting underneath the ball in.
19:57 , Marc Mayo
2 mins: Early United long throw into the box by Robinson and Dier leaps highest in a crowded six-yard box to nod clear.
The hosts lining up with Brooks and McAtee looking to get on Sharp’s shoulder in a 3-6-1 formation.

Richarlison set for central striker’s role
19:22 , Marc Mayo
A big night for the Spurs forward, who looks ready to play in Harry Kane’s role just after Cristian Stellini had talked down his chances of being moved centrally.
The Tottenham assistant had told reporters: “We were happy when he played on the right and scored [twice] against Marseille [in the Champions League group stage], and when he played on the left, like the last game, we're also happy with him in this position. That's fine.
"In his national team, he plays as a striker, but we have Harry Kane, who moves a lot around the pitch, so Richarlison can also play like a striker while Harry is moving."

A whopping eight players rested by the Blades, who may have one eye on Saturday’s promotion clash with Blackburn despite the calibre of tonight’s opposition.

Tottenham’s line-up will be revealed shortly and assistant coach Cristian Stellini offered a hint in his pre-game press conference.

"We completely trust all the players we have so we can make changes and nothing has to change. Last season we were disappointed after the match against Middlesbrough.
“But now we're in a moment where players have to take responsibility to follow this momentum. Me, Ryan Mason, and all the staff are all working hard, it will be tough for sure tomorrow but we have the possibility to play a good game and win with all the players.”
