Sheffield Wednesday's Danny Rohl pinpoints three factors after Middlesbrough collapse
DANNY Rohl pinpointed three things that he felt were key in Sheffield Wednesday's Boxing Day comeback at Middlesbrough - and insisted there was no element of disappointment that the Owls didn't end up going on to pick up all three points.
Wednesday trailed 3-0 at the break after a brilliant first half display from Boro.
But Michael Carrick's side collapsed after the break as the visitors hauled themselves level in 16 minutes, while Boro also had Rav van den Berg sent off with 35 minutes still to play.
Rohl hailed his two half-time substitutes for the part they played in the comeback, with Svante Ingelsson scoring Wednesday's first goal and having a hand in their second, and also felt some tactical tweaks made an impact.
But most important, said the Wednesday boss, was the fact his side didn't give up on the game at 3-0 down.

He said: "We saw what it means to play against a strong and very good team in this league in the first half, why they are in the top six.
"In the second half you saw two things: that we can change some things at half-time with subs and the tactical side, and the biggest thing is you saw in the second half how strong the belief is in the group.
"We've taken 15 points from behind, I think this is outstanding, I'm very proud of my team.
"They never give up, everybody helped, everybody is important for this group. To take a point here against a very strong side, it's outstanding."
Having levelled with half an hour still to play and with Boro down to 10 men, Wednesday looked likely to go on and win it but the home side at least steadied the ship. And Rohl insists he wasn't at all frustrated at having not turned one point into three.
"Not one minute," he said.
"I think last week we showed how difficult it is when you play against 10 men.
"After the red card Boro were more about the counter-attack and waiting for the mistake, and they have the quality. They don't need so many chances, they're very clinical up front.
"Of course we had some moments where we could score for 4-3 but all in all we should be very happy to come back from 3-0 down."
