Young Norwich City goalkeeper Ellis Craven has joined Lowestoft Town on loan.

The 20-year-old has joined the Southern League Premier Central Division side on an initial one-month loan deal.

Craven has already had loan spells with Leiston and Boston United this season, and was an unused sub for the young Canaries’ match against Spurs U21s last Saturday.

His move to Lowestoft comes after long term injuries to Luke Holt and Korey Beevor curtailed their campaigns earlier this season.

With former Norwich keeper Sam Blair's short term deal with the Trawlerboys having now ended, Blues boss Andy Reynolds swooped to sign Craven with young goalkeeper Ronnie Yeo set to be suspended after he was sent off in Lowestoft's late defeat at home to Stourbridge last Saturday.

Reynolds said: "I’m really pleased to welcome Ellis to the club.

"Ellis has experience at this level and higher, and it’s great to have a young pro from a club known for producing top goalkeepers.

"With Sam Blair’s short stay coming to an end, it was vital to get someone in, and now we can focus on getting our lads fit and maybe adding a few more to the squad."

He is available for Lowestoft ahead of their Southern League Premier Central Division trip to Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday.
