'Shouldn't be playing together' - Gary Neville fumes at Man United duo amid Newcastle collapse
Manchester United legend Gary Neville has taken aim at Christian Eriksen and Casemiro after the Reds slumped to an early two-goal deficit against Newcastle.
The Reds went behind inside five minutes as Alexander Isak was allowed the freedom of the penalty box to power a header past stranded Andre Onana. Joelinton made it 2-0 when another delivery from the left-hand side was met by the head of the Brazilian in front of the Stretford End.
As Newcastle celebrated, a fuming Neville took aim at two United players in particular. "It is almost a carbon copy," he explained.

"A little bit of play in midfield, Casemiro and Eriksen like mannequins. You mentioned their age before Peter [Drury], they shouldn't be playing together in a game in the Premier League, they really shouldn't.
"It's just so easy and then the cross came from [Lewis] Hall on the first goal, this time it is from Anthony Gordon - it's a beautiful delivery. Joelinton makes the run this time, Isak is marked by [Harry] Maguire but Maguire decides Isak is the danger.
"He doesn't see the run of Joelinton and neither does [Lisandro] Martinez." It is a toxic atmosphere at United this evening which was exemplified when summer signing Joshua Zirkzee was ironically cheered off by the home fans as he was substituted for Kobbie Mainoo.
The forward went straight down the tunnel at Old Trafford, before emerging again a few moments later with his coat hood up. Defeat for United this evening would see them continue to languish in the bottom half of the table. heading into 2025.
Next up for United is a meeting with arch rivals Liverpool.
