Defending Sigerson Cup champions Ulster University will take on DCU in next week’s semi-final.

The draw was made this morning with last season’s beaten finalists UCD set to face TUD in the other semi-final.

Ulster University defeated UCD 3-12 to 0-15 in last year’s final in Tralee and a repeat meeting remains a possibility with the final set to be hosted by the University of Galway on Wednesday, February 12.

Barry Dillon’s side will take on DCU at Kingspan Breffni next Thursday night after claiming a hard-fought home win over Maynooth on Wednesday.

Eoghan Frayne looked to have forced extra-time, but late points from Tyrone pair Lorcan McGarrity and Conor Cush sealed a 0-12 to 0-10 victory for the holders while DCU were 4-14 to 3-13 winners over TUS Midlands.

Abbotstown will host the all-Dublin semi-final between UCD and TUD, which will also be played on Thursday, February 6.
