Yuri Ribeiro, Emmanuel Dennis and Cauley Woodrow will get valuable minutes for the Under-21s on Wednesday night when Blackburn Rovers face Athletic Bilbao.
Mike Sheron’s side are in Premier League International Cup action for the final time when the welcome the Spanish side to Accrington Stanley’s Wham Stadium. Rovers know that victory will secure second spot in their group and a place in the knock-out rounds.
Perhaps more importantly, Riberio, Dennis and Woodrow are all in line to feature. It will be an important step for the hat-trick of deadline day additions, ahead of potentially making their debut in The FA Cup against Wolves this weekend.
Only Dion Sanderson is cup-tied from Rovers’ January additions. Eustace will want to rotate and use his squad against the Premier League outfit after seven defeats in 11 league games.
Dennis has not played any football this season and therefore needs match action to get up to full speed. Woodrow has been involved at Luton Town but hasn’t started many matches.
The original fixture was abandoned due to fog and all tickets purchased for that game will remain valid. Kick-off is 7pm, with tickets at £5 for adults and £3 for all season ticket holders for any fans who want to see the new signings in action and support the team.
