Chelsea will be looking to put an end to their recent run of poor form in the Premier League when they take on relegation-battling Wolves this evening.

A 95th-minute Reece James free-kick rescued a point for Chelsea in their last outing, drawing 2-2 against Bournemouth as the Blues dropped to fifth in the Premier League table. The draw now leaves Chelsea winless in their last five league games, with Enzo Maresca's side entering the weekend 10 points off top spot.

Victory seems vital for the Blues this evening, not only for their confidence but also to keep them in a good spot in the battle for the Premier League top four. Wolves have won three of their last four games against Chelsea, but the most recent clash saw Noni Madueke grab a hattrick in a 6-2 thumping at Molineux.

We simulated Chelsea vs Wolves to get a score prediction

To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 25 and updated the squads with the latest injuries, suspensions and transfers.

We predict that Chelsea could set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Sanchez; Caicedo, Tosin, Colwill, Cucurella; Lavia, Fernandez; Neto, Palmer, Sancho; Jackson.

We predict that Wolves could set up in a 3-4-2-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Sa; Doherty, Bueno, Agbadou; Semedo, Andre, Gomes, Ait-Nouri; Guedes, Cunha; Larsen.

Chelsea got off to the perfect start at Stamford Bridge as they took the lead after six minutes, with Cole Palmer sliding a pass through for Nicolas Jackson on the left who blasted past the 'keeper at the near post. The early goal instantly put Wolves on the back foot, and 16 minutes in, the Blues were two goals ahead.

Some neat footwork on the left saw Jadon Sancho dance past two challenges to break towards the box, with the winger using the overlapping run of Marc Cucurella to find some space. Sancho rolled the ball into the path of Palmer, and off balance, the midfielder managed to direct his effort into the far corner of the goal for 2-0.

Just before the break, Palmer grabbed his second of the afternoon and Chelsea's third in style, this time curling a shot into the far corner of the goal from 25 yards out, leaving Jose Sa with no chance in goal. Marescsa made a handful of changes on the hour mark, and with his first touch of the game, Madueke got on the scoresheet.

Palme was involved once again, this time overlapping Sancho on the left before lifting a cross towards the back post. Madueke got ahead of his marker to meet the ball, and a well-placed header beat the 'keeper to put Chelsea four goals ahead, making it 10 goals for the season against Wolves.

With such a big lead, the Blues took their foot off the gas in the closing stages, seeing out a big three points as they put an end to their winless Premier League run.
