Chelsea will be looking to get back to winning ways later today when they travel to south London to take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

It's been a Christmas period to forget for Chelsea fans, with the Blues failing to win any of their last three games. Enzo Maresca's side handed Ipswich Town their first home win of the season as Chelsea lost 2-0 at Portman Road in their last outing, and another Premier League test awaits later today as the Blues take on London rivals Crystal Palace.

The last meeting between the two sides earlier this season ended in a 1-1 draw, with Nicolas Jackson and Eberechi Eze both getting on the scoresheet. Jackson is expected to return to the starting XI against Palace after being rested in the defeat at Ipswich, while Maresca has also confirmed that Wesley Fofana could potentially be out for the rest of the season.

So, can Chelsea put an end to their winless run later today? Let's take a look.

Crystal Palace vs Chelsea score predicted

To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 25 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.

We predict that Palace could set up in a 3-4-2-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Henderson; Chalobah, Lacroix, Guehi; Munoz, Hughes, Lerma, Mitchell; Sarr, Eze; Mateta.

We predict that the Blues could line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their starting XI as follows: Sanchez; Gusto, Tosin, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Enzo; Neto, Palmer, Sancho; Jackson.

Chelsea produced a much-improved display in the first half compared to the game against Ipswich, and they stormed into an early lead when Malo Gusto fired a shot through the legs of Dean Henderson after being picked out by Moises Caicedo on the right. With a lead at half-time, the Blues dominated the opening stages after the restart, and just before the hour mark, Maresca's side grabbed a second.

Jadon Sancho carried the ball forward down the left before cutting inside, with the winger beating three Palace defenders in the process. As he approached the box, Sancho played a smart one-two with Jackson to create space for a shot, and the winger rifled his effort into the roof of the net to make it 2-0.

Chelsea were handed a blow in the 74th minute when Moises Caicedo was shown a second yellow card of the game, with the midfielder's late challenge on Will Hughes meaning the Blues had to finish the game with 10 men. Palace started to cause problems with time running out for a comeback, but in the 81st minute, the Blues managed to grab a third to put the game to bed.

Jackson dropped deep once again to receive the ball, and some good hold-up play allowed Cole Palmer to surge forward and pick up possession just outside the box. The midfielder used his momentum to breeze past his defender, and a composed finish saw the midfielder find the top corner with a curling effort to top off a fantastic afternoon for Maresca's side.
