We simulated Man City vs Chelsea to predict huge Premier League top-four clash
After putting an end to their five-game winless Premier League run on Monday, Chelsea will be looking to pick up another vital three points in a tough trip to Manchester City.
Goals from Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Cucurella and Noni Madueke handed Chelsea a 3-1 win over Wolves in their last outing, ensuring the Blues ended the game week fourth in the table. With the Conference League league phase finishing in December, Enzo Maresca's side were out of action midweek, giving them some rest ahead of their visit to Manchester later today.
Man City sit two points behind Chelsea in the Premier League table, and defeat for the Blues could see them drop as low as seventh in the table. The two sides last met on the opening week of the season when City won 2-0 at Stamford Bridge – though a lot has changed for both teams since then.

Chelsea have failed to beat City in their last 10 attempts across all competitions, with their Champions League final victory in 2021 the last time the Blues could overcome Pep Guardiola's side. So, can Chelsea pick up a huge three points at the Etihad? Let's take a look.
Manchester City vs Chelsea score predicted
To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 25 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.
We predict that City could set up in a 4-1-4-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Ederson; Nunes, Akanji, Gvardiol, Lewis; Kovacic; Foden, Silva, De Bruyne, Savinho; Haaland.
We predict that the Blues could line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their starting XI as follows: Sanchez; James, Tosin, Chalobah, Cucurella; Caicedo, Enzo; Madueke, Palmer, Sancho; Jackson.
Chelsea were in full control in the first half, but Ederson was on top form to deny Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson from close range on multiple occasions. Maresca's side was doing everything right but score, with Jackson guilty of missing the biggest chances of the lot.
The second half played out much differently than the first, with City starting to see more of the ball and cause Chelsea problems at the back. The Blues defended strongly to withhold City's pressure, and they should've been behind with 10 minutes to go if it wasn't for Robert Sanchez.
A one-two between Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne saw the latter break into the box, with the Belgian shrugging off Tosin and Chalobah to reach the ball. His first-time shot was powerful as he aimed for the top corner, but Sanchez made a fantastic reaction save to push the effort wide of goal.
New City signing Omar Marmoush almost won the game for City off the bench in the 88th minute when he lunged to meet a cross at the back post, but off balance, the Egyptian could only fire against the post, and the points were shared in a stalemate at the Etihad.
