Six Nations fixtures: England handed daunting start as 2025 schedule revealed

England face an extremely challenging start to next year’s Six Nations after the men’s fixtures for 2025 were officially confirmed.

Just a few hours before facing an in-form Ireland side chasing historic back-to-back Grand Slam titles at Twickenham on at Saturday, it was announced that Steve Borthwick’s side would open the next edition of the competition away at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on February 1, 2025.

England then face tough successive home meetings with France and Scotland and later entertain Italy, before finishing their campaign away against Wales in Cardiff in the middle fixture on Super Saturday on March 15.

Ireland follow their home meeting with England by travelling to play Scotland at Murrayfield and then heading to Cardiff, before hosting France and battling Italy in Rome.

The 2025 Six Nations opens on a Friday night with Wales going to play France in Paris, with Les Bleus also finishing the tournament at home to Scotland.
