Slots still open to take part in annual Taunton Swimathon
With just four weeks to go, there are still slots available for teams to take part in the annual Taunton Swimathon.
Organisers of the event say they want to fill as many slots as possible as the more money raised by the event for good causes, the better. These causes are Stand against Violence, DofE Somerset Bursary Committee and the Taunton East Development Trust.
The 34th Taunton Swimathon will be held on Saturday and Sunday 15th and 16th February 2025 at Taunton School Preparatory School. Slots can be booked by going to www.taunton-swimathon.co.uk.

Taunton Swimathon is jointly organised by Taunton Soropodists, Taunton 41 Club and Taunton Round Table 140.
A spokesman for the organisers said: “You don't need to be a great swimmer either.
“You just need to be able to swim 50 metres in one go in whatever stroke you like. We don't mind if it's breast stroke, crawl or doggy paddle. Teams of up to six people swim in relay fashion for just 53 minutes so it only takes an hour out of your weekend.”
Entry costs £10 for a team of up to six people and every swimmer gets a medal with lots of trophies to be won.
