Sondre Orjasaeter breaks Celtic transfer silence as winger buzzing over 'damn cool' interest as deal accelerates
Sondre Orjasaeter has broken his silence over Celtic's transfer interest.
The winger - currently on the books of Norwegian outfit Sarpsborg - is said to be a £7million target for the Scottish champions ahead of the January window slamming shut. Brendan Rodgers was pressed on Orjasaeter ahead of facing Aston Villa in the Champions League but he offered a coy response, insisting that he was 'not aware' of any reported bid.
However, the man himself has now spoken in his homeland about his future and addressed rumours linking him to Parkhead. Asked outright about Celtic, he said: "Of course it's cool that big clubs are interested. But I don't want to comment on rumours. Doesn't affect me at all. I just try to relax, train well every day and have fun with the guys on the team."

After only joining Sarpsborg just over a year ago, he admits even he is surprised at just how quickly things have clicked and moved for him at the club. Asked if it was flattering that several international clubs are keen on his services, he added: "Damn cool! I never would have thought when I came to Sarpsborg just a year ago that I would be in this situation now. It has happened very quickly."
