Stablefords and four balls at Taunton & Pickeridge GC

Kaan Felton and Jordan Mein were the winners of Saturday’s 4BBB competition at Taunton and Pickeridge with 41 points. Two pairs returned with 40 points but after countback it was Cliff Phur and Andy Sapey who were second just ahead of Dan Keitch and James Poole.

Dan Keitch enjoyed his run of good form and was the winner of Sunday’s stableford competition with 37 points two ahead of second placed Curtis Edwards with 35.

Two players returned with 33 points, but after countback it was Lloyd Alley, who edged into second place ahead of Charles Fuller, while Michael Hutchings was third on 32.

Brian Trickey with 36 points came out as the winner in last week’s Stableford with 36 points two ahead of Marc Jones who claimed second place on countback from John Gardiner after both returned with 34.

The Ladies Section took part in a Fourball Bowmaker competition this week with two scores to count at the end of which the winners with 86 points were Ali McGown, Berni Hatcher, Annie George and the Ladies' Captain Emma Smith.

The Ladies AGM is taking place on Saturday 8th March starting at 10am, but before that following their round on Tuesday, March 4, the ladies will be taking part in a Pancake Flipping competition in the Clubhouse.

The next Quiz Night at T&P will be taking place on Friday 28th February. Starting at 7pm the  quiz will cover a variety of categories.

Ahead of the quiz why not make the most of the evening with the Italian Specials offer of a meal for two and a bottle of wine for £30, which must be pre-booked in advance.

In addition the usual food specials will be available also on the night from 6pm.
