Steve Cooper next club update after Leicester City sacking and near miss
Steve Cooper is willing to be patient in waiting for his next job after leaving Leicester City at the back end of 2024, according to reports. Cooper departed the King Power Stadium at the end of November, despite only being appointed as Enzo Maresca's successor in the summer, and was replaced himself by current incumbent Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
Cooper won four of his 15 matches in charge in all competitions, although only two of those were in the Premier League against Southampton and Bournemouth. The narrow defeat at home to Chelsea, though, proved to be the final straw and his reign was ended the morning following.
The Welshman has a wealth of experience of the Championship, having taken the Swansea City job in 2019 and having guided the club to successive play-off campaigns but suffering defeat on both occasions. It was third time lucky, though, in 2022 when he returned to Wembley with Nottingham Forest and they saw off Huddersfield Town to secure a long-awaited return to the top flight.

Cooper kept Forest there in his first season in charge but they parted company midway through his second campaign. Following that, the Leicester job came along, which the 45-year-old took up this summer in wake of Maresca departing for Chelsea.
The Sun claim that Cooper is willing to wait for the next opportunity to present itself, suggesting that he won't be available to potential clubs on the cheap, and that salary was a significant reason as to why Stoke City weren't able to entice him to the Potteries to replace Narcis Pelach - they have since appointed former Coventry City boss Mark Robins.
