Stoke City complete late transfer swoop for Manchester United midfielder
Stoke City have announced the signing of teenage Manchester United midfielder Ruben Curley.
The 19-year-old was Man Utd's scholar of the year in 2023/24 as he returned from injury to help their under-18s team win a league and cup double. He had been at the club for 10 years and has been training with the senior team under new manager Ruben Amorim, signing a contract in December that ran until the summer.
He has been in the Man Utd's under-21s squad this season, including playing in the Football League Trophy and he will now link up with Stoke's under-21s under Dave Hibbert. Stoke were able to file the paperwork before last night's 11pm deadline.

Curley moves to Stoke for what is believed to be a nominal fee, signing a two-and-a-half year contract with a view to try to catch the eye of first team boss Mark Robins as quickly as possible.
Robins has had youth prospects training with his first team over the last few weeks, not just because of a host of senior injuries, and Darius Lipsiuc, Kieron Willox and Jack Griffiths have been in match day squads, as well as Emre Tezgel, Nathan Lowe and Sol Sidibe. Lipsiuc joined Walsall on loan yesterday.
Stoke could still bring in a forward for the under-21s, who are in action today against Huddersfield Town at Clayton Wood (1pm) in the Central League.
