Stoke City interested in Fally Mayulu transfer seven months after striker's Bristol City move
Stoke City do hold an interest in Bristol City striker Fally Mayulu, Bristol Live understands, but the Robins are not believed to have received a £2.5million bid for the striker's services.
As first reported by The Mirror, the Potters are understood to be keen to bring the young forward north during the summer transfer window as they look to pull away from the Championship relegation zone in the second half of the season.
The Frenchman made the move to Ashton Gate from Rapid Vienna during the summer transfer window in a move believed to be worth up to £2.5million and started well in red and white.
His first two Championship appearances saw him find the net off of the bench against both Hull City and Millwall, but since then the 22-year-old has struggled for regular game time and been unable to find the net again in all competitions.

Having been cheered by some sections of the City support when substituted in the Reds' FA Cup defeat to Wolves at Ashton Gate, Mayulu was left out of Liam Manning's matchday squad in its entirety on Saturday afternoon as City were beaten by Coventry City at the CBS Arena with the head coach insisting that was just a selection decision rather than a result of an injury or fitness issue.
Although Manning suggested earlier in the January transfer window that he was not keen to sanction a loan exit for the former Rapid Vienna forward, it is not yet clear whether or not Bristol City would be willing to part ways with him before the window closes at the start of February.
Reports suggest that Mark Robins' Stoke side are keen to bring the 22-year-old to the Bet365 Stadium and have submitted a bid worth £2.5million for his services as they look to add a new number nine to their squad ahead of the second half of the season.
Although the Potters are understood to be keen on the striker, at the time of writing it is understood that City are yet to receive a bid of that value for his signature.
Stoke are not alone in monitoring Mayulu and Bristol Live understands that at least one other Championship club and two clubs outside of England are also interested in the forward this month.
The Robins are in action this evening as they face Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough and it is as yet unclear whether or not the forward will be included in Manning's matchday squad.
So far, it has been a quiet January for City with no senior additions made to the first-team squad and no major departures yet completed.
