Ryan Shawcross is sending out an unchanged team as Stoke City take on Burnley under the watch of new boss Mark Robins.

Shawcross is in caretaker charge of Stoke at Turf Moor while Robins, whose appointment was announced this morning, is in the stands ahead of taking over for a home game against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.

He has named the same starting XI as line up against Sunderland on Sunday, winning 1-0 thanks to a late goal from Tom Cannon.

Viktor Johansson starts in goal behind a back four of Junior Tchamadeu, Lynden Gooch, Ashley Phillips and Ben Wilmot. Tatsuki Seko and Wouter Burger are paired in midfield behind Andrew Moran. Lewis Koumas and Bae Junho flank Tom Cannon up front.

Shawcross said in his pre-match press conference: "You always try to think about (whether you need to rotate) and different options but I also know as a player that I just wanted to roll into the next one. You assess where they are physically and speak to physios and sports scientists and then, as the guy who picks the team, you have to weigh it all up an whether it's best to keep it the same, changing a couple."

He added: "I knew (Burnley) were a really good team before I stepped over to the first team. I watched them against Middlesbrough and you can see from the stats and how well they've done this season that they're really well organised. It's a difficult place to go but we've seen there are a few teams who have gone up there and done all right so there are opportunities for us to go there and get a positive result.

"If we show the same sort of determination we showed on Sunday, the same sort of attitude, it always gives you a chance in the game. We go there with a positive mindset while understanding they're a really good team. We might have to change some tactical things considering it's away from home and they're a different team than Sunderland, who are younger and attack quicker. Burnley build up really well and have got some top players."

Stoke: Johansson, Tchamadeu, Gooch, Phillips, Wilmot, Seko, Burger, Moran, Junho, Koumas, Cannon.
